Recently, I was going through my
foundation collection and realised there was a fair few drugstore foundations
lurking around in there. When it comes to foundations, I think the drugstore
have got it pretty spot on and there is one that tailors to everyone’s skin
type and desired finish. Today I am going to share with you a few of my faves, and you
will realise that achieving flawless skin really isn’t that expensive.
Full Coverage
Similar to the Giorgio Armani
Luminous Silk foundation, this foundation is easy to build up from medium to
full coverage. On the skin it looks absolutely beautiful, giving you a skin
like finish but still providing amazing coverage. The actual pump itself
deposits a good amount of foundation and the colour range is one of the best on
the highstreet.
Long Lasting
Newest to the L’oreal range, I
have to give this the award for best staying in place foundation. If you find
your foundation in particular tends to slip and slide around your face try this
out. The pump unfortunately on this one tends to distribute a little too much
foundation, so a lot of mine tends to go to waste, sad face. However, if you
are looking for something similar to the Chanel Mat-Lumiere foundation then
this could be the one for you. If you are an oily girl like me, I would
probably give this a miss as I found myself looking a little little a disco
ball after a couple of hours due to how dewy this foundation is, however there is now a matte version that would be perfect for you. However, girls
with dry skin I really think you will love this.
Everyday Wear
For a natural coverage that you
can wear everyday try out the Rimmel lasting finish foundation. For me this is
perfect because it has the right amount of dewiness without making my skin look
overly oily. It is long lasting as mentioned in the name and the colour range
is spot on. Again the pump of the foundation distributes a fair amount so you
won’t find yourself being wasteful with the foundation.

Although this is the lightest
coverage of all the products I have mentioned, it is definitely one of the
easiest to wear. Not only does it glide onto the skin leaving a radiant finish,
it is another great everyday option. For me who has oily skin, I don’t feel
this greasy on my skin and is great for days where it is warm outside and I am
sweating.
