Best of Drugstore: Blushers

If there’s one product that can instantaneously transform your make-up it has to be blush. Most make-up artists will tell you that your face make-up isn’t complete without a light sweeping of colour over your cheeks. I do believe that blusher can make my skin look healthy and radiant when it normally appears sallow and tired.

But finding the right blush to give you the desired effect you want can be tricky. No amount of technique can save your make-up from appearing chalky, oily or clown like. To help, I have compiled a few of my favourite blushers from the drugstore that will help you achieve the perfect blush look.

NYX Powder Blushes

First up on my list has to be the NYX powder blushes. For the price of all NYX products the quality is incredible. With the powder blushes I have tried, they are very pigmented so a little goes a long way. Furthermore, they blend very easily therefore you aren’t left with any streaky marks so great for beginners too. Staying power is great, although I would tend to touch up due to how oily my skin is.

Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush

Maybelline of course has to have a mention somewhere on my list. For those who like cream blushers this is the one for you. The dream mousse blush is excellent however not for everyone and I would stay clear of this if you are a beginner. There is a slight hint of shimmer in these products so they are great for giving a healthy glow.

L'oreal Paris Visible Lift Colour Blush

L’oreal Paris visible lift colour blush has the strangest texture ever however it is beautiful on the skin. When you apply it creates the most gorgeous youthful and radiant glow and is perfect for all skin types.

Natural Collection Blushed Cheeks

The next one up on my list took me some time before I actually went out bought it and tried it for myself. The Natural Collection blushes you can find at boots have to be some of the best blushes I have in my kit. For the price you really can’t fault these blushes. In short they are pigmented and last pretty much all day on my skin. The only tiny complain I have is the packaging of this product, if you drop it they product is pretty much going to be smashed.

Sleek Blush by 3 Palette

Finally, on my list I had to include a blush palette. This one by sleek is just… fantastic. The pigmentation and the colours blend beautifully on your face, and out of all the products I have mentioned this is definitely the one I would try. If you are a beginner this is a great product to add to your collection as it comes with three different colours which can be used to create all different looks.

Finding the appropriate blush colour that matches your cheeks and your skin colour will transform your make-up. If you have fair skin, choose something in rose colour, if you have olive skin something in peach colour and if your skin is dark apricot or even red colour will suit you.
Let me know in the comments some of your favourite drugstore blushes so that I can try them out! Until next time,
